Where can I get a persian kitten in NYC?
Im looking to either buy or adopt a persian kitten. Does anyone know any breeders or stores in NYC that have them?

Yeah I agree stay away from breeders and pet stores! Check out a breed specific rescue they will help you find a kitten. And if you must get a kitten from a breeder make sure that they are certified breeders and ask to visit their facility, before buying. There are so many puppy and kitten mills out there, and the only way to get rid of them is to not buy from them or the pet stores that buy animals from them.
I’ve had good luck getting specific breeds off from petfinder.com, the aspca, and other random cat rescue groups in the NY area. That way you get the type of cat you want and can feel good about the adoption at the same time. Persians are common enough that you would probably not have too much trouble finding one.

Also, just a suggestion– don’t limit yourself to just a kitten, they grow up really fast anyway.
