Where can I find a cheap Himalayan kitten in/around Central Jersey?
Trying to surprise my mother for Christmas…very last-minute decision. Most kittens I’ve found have been between 0 and 0, since Himalayans are very high-quality cats.
I live in Oceanport, NJ…any ideas?

BAD IDEA. Surprising someone with a pet is a terrible decision, especially when you are attempting to get a "discount" pet. They are expensive for a reason, because the breeders are either producing top quality cats or because they are greedy, depending on the quality of breeder. Getting her a kitten also give her a lovely Christmas gift of vet bills, food bills, possible emergency care, and all the other expenses associated with owning a pet. Why not offer to take her to a shelter and let her pick out a kitten for herself, if that is something she wants? Or offer to buy her a kitten from a reputable breeder, but expect to pay a lot for the quality, the old saying is true, you get what you pay for. Either way, do not get her a pet for christmas, pets as gifts is never a good idea.
Google is the answer!
lexie. (:
Try a shelter or search the internet saying "himalayan kittens near ______ add zip code"
Go away kia koala, i would be so please if I were surprised with a pet. I live in north nj in bergan county.
call the breeders and ask if they have any PET QUALITY kittens or an older cat they have not been able to home.
Stop breeding. Get a tabby from a rescue center.
i wouldn’t try to skimp on getting a purebred cat. if you’re gonna go big, go all the way
on the flip-side however, you can get purebreds that need to be re-homed or rescued
There are shelters that have pure breeds. They can be turned in for various reasons. My Himmy is a pure blood lilac point and she came from the Atlanta Humane Society. She was an abandonment case and I’ve had her for 14 years now (she will be 18 in March).
You can also try a rescue group for the breed you are looking for. My state has a Siamese and Persian Rescue Group and they are devoted to Siamese, Persian and Himalayan.
