What is safe for my chinchilla to play with?

My chinchilla is often bored I feel and so I want to add toys to his cage. However my mom doesn’t want to spend money on a pet. What are some common household goods that a chinchilla would find entertaining?

Well Percy, I have a few things I would like to say to you. I have 2 guinea pigs. One that happens to be mine. I take care of it, I am not some child that would get bored of it. People make me mad when they think that since I’m a child that it means that I’m not responsible. Get a life! I happen to be able to get money, I get an allowance, I mow the lawn, and I do the chores around my house. I get a decent amount of money. I may not be able to afford the vet bills, but I can afford everything else. I would NEVER make my mom do anything she doesn’t want to do. My mom and I have a very close relationship, so saying that I am not responsible makes me very mad. I don’t care if YOU don’t think I can’t take care of a cat. YOU don’t know me. I happen to be in the top of my class and am very intelligent. Don’t assum things about a person if you don’t know it’s true!

I am super excited because this is my first pet!! (well i had a hamster but it died early)

3. toys + teething toys

What type of toys do chinchillas like to play with? I know cardboard tubes are popular, but what else? Pet stores have a lot to choose from, and I don’t want to waste money on something the chinchilla wouldn’t like. Also, what is a high quality brand of food and hay cubes? Treats too. And bath dust. I’ve never had a chinchilla before, so tell mem anything you can about them!
