So I found two cats outside a while ago. They were both pregnant and had kittens within days of each other. A grand total of 9 kittens. I researched "adoptions" quite a bit. I finally posted an ad on craigslist and got tons of responses. I requested .00 per kitten and that the new owners sign "contracts’ (printed from planned pethood) that basically said if for any reason at anytime they decide they can no longer keep/want the kittens then they bring them back to me. No questions asked. I have only allowed people that I felt REALLY good about to take my kittens. Once I met them and decided if they were a good fit I waived the adoption fee. (I just put the .00 to see if they would be willing to pay for them.) But I did require that they fill out forms and keep in touch. (Which some of them have, I am giving it about 2 weeks before I call around to check up on them). The mama’s are now fixed and going to my grandfather so no B.S. about how awful I am. Do you think I did well with the adoption process? I truley did my best to make sure they went to kind, loving homes.
yes for those of you that ask. The question was posted twice. It showed up deleted on this one (glitch I guess) and I reposted it. Thanks for telling me how awful I am. Considering I did more for the kittens then many other people would. At least I didn’t leave them on the street or "free to good home".
Dutch Girl: I was surprised too! I thought people would skip right over me but they didn’t. The people were very nice. I didn’t give them to anyone that even gave me a hint of weird vibe.

I have a kitten for adoption and everyone gets mad when I say the adoption fee is 40 dollars. Well I dont want to just give it away because I want someone to feel like the animal had value so they wont throw it outside or give it away again. Am I being unreasonable?
