Um you need to learn before even thinking about finding a breeder. Teacups are massively expensive, running into the thousands. You need the proper food, always fresh water… you need to learn about cat health, especially teacup health and if you will even be able to afford the vets after dropping so much money down on a cat. You need to learn the shots it needs to take, and get it dewormed if the breeder has not done it for you.. you need to get it fixed, you will probably want a proper vet to fix it rather than a cheap clinic. Also… is your house safe for a cat who will get no larger than a coke can?
You really don’t want a teacup kitten. They aren’t a real breed – they are produced by breeding the often unhealthy runts to produce kittens that will possibly stay small. They may grow into normal sized cats, and they may be extremely unhealthy. Persians (and a Himalayan is a pointed Persian) is prone to several lethal genetic defects – PKD (polycystic kidney disease) and heart disease. Reputable breeders screen for these, and will give you a health guarantee certifying that the cat is free of them. The back yard breeders who produce the so-called teacup cats do not. You may end up spending a large amount of money on a sickly cat who’s going to end up dying young from PKD or a heart disease.
If you really want a Himalayan, you can find "real" breeders from this link from the CFA’s web site: http://www.cfa.org/cbrs.html or TICA’s web site: http://tica.org/public/breeders.php. This will get you a healthy kitten complete with a health guarantee, for much less that you would pay to get one of those improperly bred "teacups" from a back yard breeders. Real breeders breed to improve the breed, not create unhealthy kittens that they can sell for big money to unsuspecting buyers.
i agree with JC. you need to do a lot more research. teacups are not real.
i could breed cats with a birth defect that causes them to be born with out legs, and call the legless kittens"seal kittens" because of the way they slide across the floor to move, but it still would not be right.
Heyy, Awesome post! I will definatley be coming back soon!=)
